Another recipe we made with the children last Good Friday: Flour Tortilla. They helped flatten each small dough and commented, it looked like their 'play doh'. ; )
Ingredients: Makes 1 dozen or more
Method:
Mix all dry ingredients then add olive oil
Add very hot water and stir with wooden spoon
Remove the wooden spoon with clean hands and knead well
Grease dough with some oil in the bowl and leave it for 5 minutes
Cut dough into small equal parts
Flatten each small dough with rolling pin
Dust each flattened dough with flour to prevent them from sticking
In a non-stick hot pan, cook dough for 30 seconds on each side
Cover tortilla with cloth
The children love to eat them plain. But one can always roll tortilla with grilled beef and some vegetables like shawarma.
Enjoy!
